T-pieces in the LPG system

T-pieces are components of the LPG/CNG system that are used to distribute gas flow to the various components of the system. They are an integral part of the autogas system in the car.

Functions of the T-piece in the LPG system

Separation of the gas flow: T-pieces enable two or more gas lines to be connected to a single source, allowing gas to be distributed to different parts of the system.

Compactness: T-pieces provide a compact and aesthetically pleasing way of connecting gas lines, making it easier to install and service the system.

Types of tees

Different types of tees are available, varying in material of construction, size and type of connection:

Material of construction: tees are usually made of brass, plastic or steel.

Size: T-pieces are available in different sizes to suit the diameter of the gas lines.

Assembly of T-pieces and LPG systems in the car

The installation of tees in an LPG/CNG system should be carried out by a qualified gas fitter. Assembly includes:

Selection of suitable tees: The tees must be matched to the type of LPG/CNG installation, the diameter of the gas lines and the type of connection.

Connection of tees to lines: The tees are connected to the gas lines with hose clamps or spring clips

Leak check: After installation, the gas installation should be checked for leaks.
