Gas level sensors
The LPG level indicator in a car's gas system is used to inform the driver of the current filling level of the gas tank. It works in a similar way to the fuel level indicator for petrol or diesel, showing how much fuel is left in the tank.
The gas level indicator is particularly important in LPG cars, as it allows the driver to monitor gas consumption and plan refuelling before the tank is completely empty. Many LPG systems also have a function to automatically switch to petrol when the gas level is too low, but this is always better for monitoring and planning in advance to avoid an unexpected fuel shortage.
However, it is worth bearing in mind that gas level indicators on LPG systems may not be as precise as those for petrol or diesel. They are often analogue gauges that give an overall picture of the gas level, but do not show the exact amount of gas remaining in the tank. Therefore, it is always a good idea to have a supply of fuel and not rely solely on the gas level indicator.
